Auckland: Day 1 by Sol
Nov 18
The airplane was huge it had 65 rows with 9 seats on each one. Each seat had it’s own TV with headphones, so you could choose what movie or tv series to watch. At first my TV wasn’t working, so I had to call the flight attendant. They had a catalog of movies which you could search on the screen. So, there I was looking at the catalog, when suddenly I couldn’t believe what my eyes were seeing, Eclipse was on the catalog, so I decided to watch it. But oh,no!, Raquel was looking at my TV, so I had to turn that off, I did’t get to see even the first scene.
I began to love New Zealand from the plane, they didn’t give the whole safety speech in a boring way instead they did it in a different way you saw a video that it was hilarious with some local rugby players.
So the dinner came, but oh, no! it was nuggets, the girls don’t like them, so they ate the smash potatoes, bread, cookies, juice and dessert, you’ll thing that’s too much, but they were small portions. We got to chose between chicken or lasagna, I chose lasagna and Uri chicken.
I began to prepare the girls for sleeping, the pillow, pets,pj’s, blankets, all done. My time began, I watched Eclipse, before it was released in DVD, I know many of you are jealous, many of you don’t care, but I love it. I was constantly interrupted by the girls, her heads were beginning to lean, so I constantly had to put the pillows and blankets around their necks, also Saraí’s legs were constantly dropping, so I had to figure out how to keep them up. We had a little turbulence, and I always tried to put an arm in front of the girls so they won’t wake up. I really had a hard night. But the girls slept really well.
It was 4:30 am New Zealand time, when the breakfast came, and the girls still hadn’t woken up. So we had to wake them up, they ate fruit, bread, juice, hotcakes, cheese and crackers. They really were well behaved, Raquel watched Toy Story 3 (2 times) and Saraí Toy Story 3 & Despicable Me.
I was putting my tennis when I realized that I had a huge feet, like a tamales, oh my god my feet were swollen.
We finally arrived with a beautiful view. We passed migration with a huge line, we bought a SIM card and took a taxi which took us about 1 hr to finally arrive at home.
The views were amazing. I took a lot of photos & videos. It’ so funny looking at the cars and looks like they’re driving themselves, or they drive on the wrong side of the road.
The home it’s amazing, it’s a flat with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room, kitchen & dinner table. The view it’s amazing, we have bay view, you can see the port and the city.
A few hours later, Uri decided to take the girls to the city, we took the ferry to the city (about 10 minutes) we ate in a mall, then we realized how tired we were, we took the ferry back . We did some shopping and headed back home. In the way back we found a store that makes chocolate, we bought some but it was extremely expensive. We walked all the way back, Uri got us lost. Finally after 50 minutes walking we arrived here. The first thing we did was take our shoes off.
We took a bath, then Maureen invited us dinner at an Italian restaurant in the villa. First she took us to Mount Victoria and then to dinner. After dinner she took us to see several beaches.
We rested the rest of the day. It was a crazy exhausting day.
