Wellington: Day 28

The last couple of days it has been pouring rain so we haven’t had a chance to do much. Yesterday we picked up our rental car, the first driving experience was a big adventure because here in New Zealand they drive on the other side of the road, so everything is inverted. We got a Nissan Sunny which is actually a nice car for us, plenty of space both in the passenger area and the boot (trunk in american).

Today we decided to visit the Weta Cave which is a little museum they setup just besides the real Weta Studios.

The place is quite small and it’s mostly a gift shop, but you get to enter a small screening room in which they show a behind the scenes movie on Weta and the movies they have done in the past years.

The shop is really pricy because it’s mostly art sculptures and what-not, but I got myself a little treat which I’ll show to everybody when I get home 😀
