Auckland: Day 1
Nov 16
After a 12 hour flight we have arrived at Auckland! The flight was actually really good, the seats are really confortable and each of us was able to choose what to see on their TV, so the girls went with movies like Toy Story and Despicable Me.
The place they are letting us stay at is on Davenport which is at the other side of the bay on Auckland, the city just like San Francisco is divided by a small bay.
Arriving at the airport we took a shuttle to our place, it was about an hour drive. After we got settled we decided to head out to the CBD (Central Business District) which is considered the real center of the city. To arrive there we have to take a ferry which the girls really enjoyed.

We didn’t do much, we hanged out at a mall called Westfield, ate something and we headed back to our place because the jet-lag was finally catching up with us.
At Devonport we stopped for some grocery shopping and we visited a local chocolate store which was announced as a really good one, but amazingly expensive.

The walk from the ferry station to our place is about a 40min walk. A good one though because the views are incredible, since we have to walk through a hill we have a direct view to the bay and the city.

We are staying at Maureen’s. Maureen is Andrew’s mom, a woman of almost 80 years but a very lively and young woman if you ask me. She has two apartments so she is letting us stay at the aparment across her’s. She invited us to dinner at an Italian restaurant, but before that she took us for a drive across the town and two the top of Mount Victoria with an amazing view of all the surroundings.

That was it for the day, we headed back, took a shower and went to sleep. Well me, instead of sleeping and went to see the Steelers vs Patriots game, Steelers lost by the way 🙁

I hope the girls weren’t to restless on the flight. =)
Sarai is a grand top model and Raquel is a beautiful pink flower; They are my favorite personages in my live.
I like when they smile.
Uri and Sol, thank you very much for my grand daughters.
Amada familia, gracias mil por permitirnos mirar a través de sus ojos tantas maravillas; hemos podido ver tan bellos lugares. Un abrazo y todo mi amor.
