San Francisco: Day 2
Nov 14
Ok, second day at San Francisco, and a really eventful day. For starters our bodies are still on central time so we woke up at 5am local time. We decided to eat breakfast out of the hotel so we could try a different thing. Main problem is that there we were at 7:30am looking for a place to eat when everything comes to life until 10-11 am, so after walking around looking for something open, we ended up at the same place we ate dinner yesterday.
We ordered a hot-cake with a side of bacon for each girl, Sol ordered something called a “Heart Breaker” which was something like a McMuffin on steroids, a sandwich of egg with bacon, and italian sausage, and cheddar cheese with hash brown potatoes as a sidedish, and finally for me a burger 😀

After a really big breakfast we started doing some shopping, we got some books for the girls, and some shoes, some t-shirts for some of my brothers and of course something about Twilight for Sol.

Then we went to meet my friend Marco and her wife Daphne with whom we went to the Golden Gate, or as Sarai calls it “the Monsters vs Aliens bridge“.

After the Gate we went to Fisherman’s Wharf to eat some seafood. Spaghetti for Sarai, crab chowder for Sol, lobster thermidor for me, and Raquel a little of everything.

Finally, time for dessert at Ghirardelli. We asked for the smallest size of ice-cream for the girls, which is a single scoop, and it turned out to be almost half a cup of ice-cream, vanilla for Raquel, strawberry for Sarai. Sol had a Brownie Sundae and me a classic hot cocoa.

It’s now 8:28 pm and girls are full asleep after a very long and fun day. Tomorrow a longer day awaits since is the day we do the big flight to New Zealand 😀
Good night family, and most likely we will post again until Monday when we have arrived at Auckland.
