San Francisco: Day 3 by Sol

Nov 16

Once more the girls woke up, played in the bathtub with their new toys and had a bubble bath.

We had breakfast in the restaurant just in front of the hotel. The girls had sunny side up eggs, Uri had the same but with bigger portion and I had a Nutella waffle. OMG, the orange juice is delicious, much better than the Ihop ones.

We went to Walgreens, because Saraí wanted some gum, but instead she picked jelly worms and I bought more Eclipse gum.

We took a taxi to Best Buy, we bought some DVDs for the girls, a camera case, headphones and a web cam. We walked across to Office Max and bought my daily journal. By that time Uri wasn’t in a good mood because we hadn’t find a taxi and we had to finish packing. When we were waiting we saw a van selling Mexican food, that really smelled like Mexican food.
We took a taxi back to the hotel, we finished packing, checked out and went to Marco’s house.

When we arrived, the girls went crazy, ran to the bedroom and realized there was no TV in there since it was on the living room, when they figured that out they sat and watched some tv.

We took a bus to Japantown, I know how ironic all this will sound, there were actual Japanese people talking Japanese. We walked in a mall, I was acting like a Japanese taking 100’s of pictures of everything. Saraí of course wanted everything. We ate in a restaurant that had little boats with 2 pieces of sushi served over a color plate, each color meant a different price, so in the end you pay what you eat; it was expensive, but it was worth it, it was delicious. They served you water and tea all the time.

Finally we went for dessert, ice cream for the girls and crepes served like a cone for us. They were delicious, I had espresso ice cream with nutella, nuts and corn flakes, Uri had one with vanilla ice cream, peanut butter and jam. After Saraí finished her ice cream she sent Uri out to buy them surprises. We went back to Marco’s place, took our bags and went to the airport.

The check in line was long, and Saraí kept asking ‘when are we going to New Zealand?’. Finally we were inside, we bought the connector adaptor and a small backpack for each girl. There was almost nothing to do in the airport, so they watched some movies on the laptop. Finally the called us to board, the airplane was huge…
